For waxing and threading the hair needs about 2–3 weeks of growth. Arriving freshly shaved means we cannot remove it from the root. Normal after-effects include redness, tenderness, small bumps and occasional ingrown hairs. Rarely, skin can lift or bruise, particularly on the face. For 24–48 hours afterwards I will avoid hot baths, saunas, swimming, sunbeds, heavy exercise and perfumed products on the area, and will exfoliate gently from day three. For any tinting I understand a patch test is required at least 24 hours before my first appointment, and that tinting cannot go ahead without one. Tint is a dye. In rare cases it can cause an allergic reaction, including swelling around the eyes, and I have disclosed any history of reaction to hair dye or henna. I have disclosed everything relevant about my health, medication and skin. I will contact Evergreen Essence on 604-767-4527 if I have any difficulty afterwards.
